the HILLTOWN 6
community POTTERY JAM
Saturday, June 27th | 2-4:30 PM
The talented potters of the Hilltown 6 Pottery Tour are coming together in celebration of the tour’s 20th anniversary, for the first ever Hilltown 6 Community Pottery Jam!
Join local pottery legends Mark Shapiro, Maya Machin, Hiroshi Nakayama, Michael McCarthy, Connie Talbot, Sam Taylor, Robbie Heidinger, and Christy Knox for hands-on demonstrations followed by a moderated Q&A and a casual community potluck. The artists will be making, decorating, and cross collaborating with one another’s wheel thrown and handbuilt work. They’ll discuss their processes and careers as potters working and living in Western MA throughout demonstrations.
Easthampton Clay is excited to welcome pottery enthusiasts of all skill levels to join us in our studio, Saturday, June 27th . This event is free to the public, but space is limited so tickets must be secured in advance. Easthampton Clay will be accepting optional, in-person donations to the Easthampton Community Center at the event, and participants are asked to please bring a potluck item to contribute to our reception. Please be aware that due to severe allergens in our studio, no nuts, sesame, or nut/sesame oils are allowed.
The Hilltown 6 Pottery tour is coming up on July 25th and 26th, 2026! The Community Pottery Jam will be a unique opportunity to learn from the minds and hands that make Hilltown 6 happen. This will be an opportunity for powerful conversations on craft and process, and the chance to connect with the local ceramics community.
